ACC’s Philosophy on Team Building
Team Building is not a one time process and is not achieved by having an outing together. Genuine team building requires deep relationship building between team members, high degree of trust, an understanding of emotional bank deposits and skills in helping each other, hence the team, grow.
Approach
1. Establish self awareness and appreciation of individual differences (using psychological instruments)
2. Understand how one’s Intent and the resultant Impact on others may be wildly different
3. Build a solid foundation of Trust and Relationship
4. Acquire effective behavioural skills that would sustain and deepen the relationship, help each other grow as people and hence help the team grow
How these conceptual pointers translate into practice in real life would depend on the team’s circumstances.
ACC's Practice
Since every organization has its own culture and practice, and individual teams may be further influenced by organizational sub-cultures and team members' characteristics, it is important that each case is regarded differently.
ACC will begin by establishing a deep understanding of the prevailing circumstances, ascertaining the desired end goals, followed by customizing an approach, taking into consideration factors such as time, availability, budget, possible geographical constraints and personal preferences.
